Ho Chi Minh

Dear all,

Viet Nam is great! We've just woken up to our second day in this amazing city where you can eat lunch for two people with a coke and iced tea for 47,000 dong. Thats 3 AUD!

The other thing about Ho Chi is the bikes. There are millions. Hundreds of millions. Maybe even billions.

We managed to accomplish quite a considerable amount in our first day, the highlights being:

- Crossing the street and not being hit
- Having a $3 lunch (see above)
- the Ben Thanh market
- the Reunification Palace (see below) and War Remnant Museum (biased however still interesting)
- the Jade Emperor Pagoda (see below)
- Being an ND guy myself, we had to (accidentally) check-out the Notre Dame Cathedral (see below)
- Sunset drinks at the Sheraton Saigon Rooftop bar
- An hour long (which actually lasted 45 minutes) massage by members of the Vietnamese Traditional Massage Institute - who all happen to be blind.

Some random building.

Jen looking cool whilst relaxing.

Views from the Sheraton Siagon Hotel Rooftop bar

Drinks! (2 for 1 infact...still more expensive than lunch)

More views whilst the sun was pre-post-setting.

We depart for Hanoi in a few hours, hardened with the knowledge of how to take a taxi to the airport and not be overcharged. Wish us luck.

As always, we have not eaten dog yet...to our knowledge.

More to come in the following days.

Jen and Mitch.
